Burning Man prep, visiting a farm commune in Malibu, and meeting my neighbor!

Round 2 of The Newsletter…!

Thanks for tuning in last week. We’re going to turn this into a bi-weekly thing and, starting today, you can expect a new newsletter every other Thursday!

I’m currently in NYC but getting ready for a trip to Black Rock City. It’ll be my second time going. I was severely underprepared last year … This year, I’ll pack more food.

Burning Man starts Sunday August 27 and is a week long. I’m most looking forward to disconnecting from my cell phone and just living in the moment. That’s right: no cell phone, no internet, and no social media for the full week.

In case you missed my recent content …

I toured my neighbor’s apartment!

How we got connected is a funny story. She saw us throwing parties at my apartment and, at first, wanted to come hang. But then she had a baby … and wanted us to pipe down. Someone eventually told her, ‘The neighbor you’re complaining about is the apartment guy!’

When she found that out, she DM’d me and the rest is history.

And on the opposite side of the country in Malibu, California … I met Greg, who lives on a farm with 12 other people. Greg’s family has owned land in Malibu for centuries, before there were even passable roads. They had to hike through the wilderness just to get to the farm.

By the way, I know how to mount a horse. That clip was for comedic relief :)

Home products spotlight

At this point, I’ve toured a lot of homes, from tiny luxury apartments in Tokyo to a laundromat-turned-dwelling in New York City.

Each place has its own unique charm and character. This section of the newsletter will be dedicated to highlighting some standout products I come across.

Here’s what caught my attention recently!

Having a pet these days is basically like having a child … so upgrade their living quarters with this sleek crib! (I mean, crate...)

If you’re into hygge, this knot pillow is for you.

By the way, there are cheaper, knock-off brands out there if you’re ballin’ on a budget.

You guys know Barbara Corcoran is one of my favorite people. And she’s got great style. Her Smeg fridge in one line: retro on the outside, totally cool on the inside :)

Ask me anything!

Ever wonder how I connect with people like Greg in Malibu? Curious about apartment tour mishaps?

Reply to this email with any questions you have and I’ll pick one to answer in the next newsletter!
