My morning routine and pizza with Quavo!

Caleb’s Newsletter

Happy Thursday and welcome to the Newsletter if you’re new here!

By the time this hits your inbox I’ll be at Burning Man and completely off the grid. I didn’t even pack a camera. This point is to be fully present so I don’t distract myself from myself.

As for what’s new with me, Justin Crawford had me on his podcast last week. We talked about routines and I told him what a typical day in my life looks like. Every morning I read my list of goals and objectives that I have on my wall. I’ll share two with you:

  1. Be calm in the big moments.

  2. Retire my mom by 2026.

I also work out every day but I don’t have a gym membership – and I likely never will. The way I see it: It might take 20 minutes to get to the gym, but you can walk outside pretty much anywhere in the world and do a workout or go for a run. When I’m in NYC, I prefer Fort Greene Park.

In case you missed my recent content …

I toured my own apartment! People kept asking for it so … here it is!

My roommates and I pay $6,500 for our spot in Vinegar Hill, Brooklyn and my share of the rent is $3,000.

My favorite part has to be the outdoor deck with the cold plunge. I installed the plunge myself, which was surprisingly simple to do.

Another fun one I did recently was a pizza review with Quavo. He’s one-third of the super popular hip hop group Migos.

I couldn’t believe this one actually happened. His team reached out to me, we ate pizza together, I asked him some questions, and we played songs from his new album Rocket Power on the streets of New York City.

We also did pull-ups on the scaffolding. (He did 10 and I did 14 ;) )

If you’re wondering, I always get nervous before interviewing someone – and Quavo was no exception.

Home products spotlight

If you’re new to the newsletter, this section is dedicated to highlighting some standout products I come across touring people’s apartments every week.

This week’s products include:

This kitchen gadget is adorable, functional, and dare I say … eggcellent.

This lamp is a vibe.

This might look familiar if you watched my own apartment tour … can confirm, it’s an excellent investment.

Ask me anything!

Send me your questions and I’ll pick one to answer in the next newsletter!

This week’s question: How do you find a cheap apartment in NYC?

Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace are the number one sites for finding the cheapest apartments in NYC. There will most likely be terrible pictures of the place so you will need to go see it in person to make sure it’s real. The listings move fast so act quick!
